CBDA & CBGA

What Are CBDA & CBGA?
Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) and cannabigerolic acid (CBGA) are two of the most abundant cannabinoids found in cannabis. They are both non-psychoactive and have shown promise in medical research for their anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties.
CBDA is the acidic precursor to CBD, and CBGA is the acidic precursor to CBG. These cannabinoids are produced in the cannabis plant as cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), which is then decarboxylated into THC, CBD, or CBC through exposure to heat or UV light.
Medical Benefits of CBDA & CBGA
While more research is needed to determine the full extent of the medical benefits of CBDA and CBGA, these cannabinoids show promise as potential treatments for a variety of conditions including glioblastoma, leukemia, and lymphoma.
Helping the Fight Against COVID-19
Additional research from Oregon State University shows CBDA and CBGA contain properties that can help reject cellular entry of SARS-CoV-2 (coronavirus). The research showed CBDA and CBGA were effective against COVID-19 and its variants, proving these cannabinoids have the potential to prevent and/or treat infections coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
